Questions, answered.
From your first swipe to your perfect shade, here’s everything to know about your ALISANDA Lip Stain.
What is ALISANDA Lip Stain?
ALISANDA Lip Stain is designed to leave your lips with fresh-looking, buildable color without the heavy feel of traditional lipstick.
Wear one layer for a softer tint or build it up when you want more impact.
How do I apply it?
Start with clean, dry lips. Apply an even layer across your lips, making sure the masque fully covers the areas you want to stain.
Let it set, then gently peel away the masque to reveal the lip color underneath.
For a deeper-looking result, repeat with another layer.
How long should I let the color develop?
Around 15–30 seconds is a good starting point. A shorter set time creates a softer wash of color, while allowing it to develop a little longer can create a richer-looking result.
How long does the lip color last?
ALISANDA is made for long-wearing color that keeps your lips looking fresh throughout the day.
Actual wear can vary depending on your lips, application, and what you eat or drink.
Is it transfer-resistant?
Once the masque has been peeled away and the color has developed, the stain is designed to be transfer-resistant for less mess throughout your day.
Results can vary depending on application and individual wear.
Can I build the color?
Yes. One application creates a softer, natural-looking tint.
For a stronger lip look, apply another layer after the first stain has developed. Keep it subtle or build it up depending on your mood.
Can I wear gloss or lip balm over it?
Absolutely. Once the masque has been peeled away and your stain is revealed, you can leave it as-is or add your favorite clear gloss or lip balm on top for extra shine and comfort.
What if my lips are dry?
For the smoothest-looking result, gently exfoliate dry or flaky areas before applying your lip stain.
If you use lip balm beforehand, remove any excess before applying the masque so it can set evenly.
How do I remove the lip masque?
Once the masque has fully set, gently lift one edge and slowly peel it away from your lips.
Work from one side to the other for a smooth reveal. If a small amount of product remains around the edges, gently wipe it away with a damp tissue.
The color left behind is your lip stain.
Which shade should I choose?
Choose from 9 wearable shades ranging from soft everyday tones to richer statement colors.
